Streamer Blur — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1. Overview

Streamer Blur is a free browser extension that allows users to blur selected elements on websites to protect private information during livestreams, screen recordings, and screen sharing.

The extension is free to use. There are no subscriptions, paid features, or mandatory payments.

2. Information Collection

Streamer Blur does not collect, sell, transmit, or share users’ personal information or browsing data with the developer or other third parties.

The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or telemetry.

3. Local Storage and Website Access

Streamer Blur uses the browser’s local extension storage to save user-configured settings, including selected elements, CSS selectors, blur intensity, and enabled or disabled states.

These settings remain on the user’s device and are used to restore the selected blur effects when a page is revisited or the browser is restarted.

The extension processes relevant website elements locally in the browser to apply the blur effects requested by the user. Website content is not transmitted to the developer or to external servers by the extension.

Users can manage their saved settings through the extension’s interface and remove them by deleting the saved configurations or uninstalling the extension.

4. Donations

Streamer Blur is completely free. Users may voluntarily support the developer by sending a cryptocurrency donation to one of the wallet addresses displayed in the extension.

Donations are optional and do not unlock features, remove restrictions, or provide any paid benefits.

Streamer Blur does not process cryptocurrency payments, collect payment credentials, or receive transaction details through the extension. If a user independently uses a cryptocurrency wallet or blockchain service to make a donation, that service operates under its own terms and privacy policy. Blockchain transactions may be publicly visible, depending on the network.

5. Third-Party Services

Streamer Blur does not integrate analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.

If users independently visit an external website or open a third-party cryptocurrency wallet to make a donation, the privacy practices of that external service apply.

6. Data Security

Because the extension does not send user settings or browsing data to the developer, the developer does not maintain a server-side database of this information. Users should protect access to their devices and browser profiles.

7. Children’s Privacy

Streamer Blur does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published at the same public URL.

9. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Streamer Blur’s handling of information is limited to the extension’s single purpose: allowing users to blur selected website elements locally. The extension does not sell or transfer user data to third parties, use user data for unrelated purposes, or use user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions.
